Airport Information

Our Flying Site is located at Eagles Nest Airport, Eagleswood Township NJ.

Flying by guests is prohibited unless accompanied by a member and flying ability is verified.  Entrance is gated and locked at all times unless a member is present. 

This is an OPERATIONAL FULL SCALE AIRPORT and we adhere to specific rules and procedures to safely co-exist with the full scale community, which almost certainly differ from other typical RC sites.  Please respect our club, our flying site, and the owner of the airport and do not trespass on this property unless accompanied by a current member of the club.   You may be subject to prosecution by the FAA, Homeland Security and the State Police if you access this site without proper permission.  Contact info@southernoceanrc.com for further info, or to get in touch with a local member and set up a time and date to fly as a guest.

From points North:

Garden State Parkway:  Travel Southbound to exit 58, make right at end of ramp.  Make another right in approx. 1/4 mile onto Forge Rd.  Follow Forge Rd. Approx 1.5 miles until you pass under the Garden State Parkway.   About 500 feet after passing under parkway bridge make Left onto Airport Rd (Look for small blue Airport roadsign). 

Rt. 9:  Take Route 9 South through Stafford / Manahawkin.  Travel about 4.5 miles past Rt. 72 (Manahawkin), until you reach Forge Rd.   This will be just past the NJ State Police Barracks on your right, and there is an Eagleswood Vol. Fire Co. sign at the corner of Forge Rd.   Make right and travel about 2 miles, Airport Rd. is on right side just before you reach the Parkway underpass.  (Look for small blue Airport roadsign). 

From points South:

Garden State Parkway:  Travel Northbound to exit 58, make left at end of ramp.  Make another right in approx. 1/4 mile onto Forge Rd.  Follow Forge Rd. Approx 1.5 miles until you pass under the Garden State Parkway.   About 500 feet after passing under parkway bridge make Left onto Airport Rd (Look for small blue Airport roadsign). 

Rt. 9:  Take Route 9 North through Tuckerton.  Travel about 4 miles past Rt. 539 (Tuckerton), until you reach Forge Rd.    Make a Left and travel about 2 miles, Airport Rd. is on right side just before you reach the Parkway underpass.  (Look for small blue Airport roadsign). 

From Points West:

Rt. 539:  Travel South on Rt. 539, and make Left onto Forge Rd.  Forge Rd. is approximately 4.5 miles past the sign on your right for the Warren Grove Air-to-Ground Range.  Follow Forge Rd. Approx 1.5 miles until you pass under the Garden State Parkway.   About 500 feet after passing under parkway bridge make Left onto Airport Rd (Look for small blue Airport roadsign).
